\u2013 para profundizar en su estudio si fuese necesario<\/p>\n<p>La licuaci\u00f3n o licuefacci\u00f3n de suelo es el comportamiento de suelos que, estando sujetos a la acci\u00f3n de una fuerza externa, en ciertas circunstancias pasan de un estado s\u00f3lido a un estado l\u00edquido, o adquieren la consistencia de un l\u00edquido pesado.<\/p>\n<p>Es m\u00e1s probable que la licuaci\u00f3n ocurra en suelos granulados sueltos saturados o moderadamente saturados con un drenaje pobre, tales como arenas sedimentadas o arenas y gravas que contienen vetas de sedimentos impermeables.<\/p>\n<p>Durante el proceso en que act\u00faa la fuerza exterior, por lo general una fuerza c\u00edclica sin drenaje, tal como una carga s\u00edsmica, las arenas sueltas tienden a disminuir su volumen, lo cual produce un aumento en la presi\u00f3n de agua en los poros y por lo tanto disminuye la tensi\u00f3n de corte, originando una reducci\u00f3n de la tensi\u00f3n efectiva.<\/p>\n<p>Los suelos m\u00e1s susceptibles a la licuefacci\u00f3n son aquellos formados por dep\u00f3sitos j\u00f3venes (producidos durante el Holoceno, depositados durante los \u00faltimos 10,000 a\u00f1os) de arenas y sedimentos de tama\u00f1os de part\u00edculas similares, en capas de por lo menos m\u00e1s de un metro de espesor, y con un alto contenido de agua (saturadas).<\/p>\n<p>Tales dep\u00f3sitos por lo general se presentan en los lechos de r\u00edos, playas, dunas, y \u00e1reas donde se han acumulado arenas y sedimentos arrastrados por el viento y\/o cursos de agua.<\/p>\n<p>Algunos ejemplos de licuefacci\u00f3n son arena movediza, arcillas movedizas, corrientes de turbidez, y licuefacci\u00f3n inducida por terremotos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1wnKsckpP3ZFjM_KigaYNx9qHdC2pqOul\/preview\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00bfC\u00f3mo identificamos, de forma pr\u00e1ctica, el potencial de licuefacci\u00f3n o de licuaci\u00f3n de un suelo?
